The g2 ion is a very spacious two-person, three-pole semi-geodesic tent that is ideal for camping and travelling. In fact, the g2 ion will even sleep three at a squeeze – yet for all its roominess, it still weighs less than 2.5 kg. Like the smaller g1 ion, it has a high-cut fly and large mesh panels on the inner, making it ideally suited for warmer climates. (You might find it cool in more wintry conditions). The flysheet has a four-season specification, but the high-cut baseline – to improve ventilation and airflow in warm conditions – means the inner is more vulnerable to splashing in hard rainfall.
