Lightwave has two ranges of 5-season tents – arctic and mtn. By 5-season, we mean exceptionally heavy-duty tents offering maximum strength and durability and designed for use anywhere in the world. Their fabrics and components are selected to withstand greater abuse in extreme climates and increased exposure to UV at higher altitudes.

Lightwave arctic tents are 3-pole tunnel designs with an extended vestibule supported by a 4th pole as a standard feature. Designed for the harsh Scandinavian winters, they are the strongest and most robust of all the tents in the Lightwave stable.

The mtn tent has been designed as a mountain trekking tent for expeditions into regions such as the Karakorum, Himalaya and Andes. It is a 3-pole semi-geodesic design that shares some of the fabrics and features of the arctic tents above, including an enlarged vestibule supported by a 4th pole.
