The g30 is larger than its g1, g20, and g2 siblings and is designed for those who value space and comfort above the need to save weight. It can accommodate three people comfortably, and for a three-person party, offers the lowest shared weight-per-person ratio. Like all semi-geodesic designs, it pitches relatively quickly and easily on rough ground due to its minimal pegging requirements – three pegs are quite sufficient in most conditions. The g30 is available with a standard porch as the g30 trek – best for trekking – and with an extended porch (with an additional pole) as the g30 trek xt – better for extended stays or wet/wintry conditions.
