  • Tunnel tents are highly efficient in terms of space and weight. Their distinctive rounded profile is created by a number of parallel hoops (usually between two and four). The short poles are easy to insert into the pole sleeves and flex into shape. This makes tunnel tents very simple to assemble. On the other hand, tunnel tents stand or fall – literally – on the quality of their anchors at the front and back. These must be secure in order to give the tent its structure, something not always easy on rocky terrain. The tunnel shape is aerodynamic when pitched end-on into the wind, and the structure itself is forgiving in strong winds – pole breakages are rare. Tunnels require fewer poles than similar-sized geodesic tents, and the poles themselves are shorter, giving them a competitive edge in terms of weight.

Lightwave tunnel tents are available in four sizes: from the 1-person t0 to the roomy 3-person t3.

    t0: 1-person
    t1: 2-person
    t2: 2/3-person
    t3: 3-person
